I’m a firm believer that boots are the way forward during the winter months; there are so many kinds out there suitable for every occasion. I’ve pulled together my two absolute favorite pairs of boots and set out a few outfits that I might wear them with over this festive season. If you’re inspired, why not head on over to King Ranch Saddle Shop (a Texan based saddle, boot, jewelry, furniture, apparel and more shop) and check out the women’s boot selection and men’s boot page. Enjoy!
First up – a pair you would have seen in my first “What I wore Wednesday,” these tan faux-suede chunky heel ankle boots. Despite a slight heel, these are unbelievably comfortable; I walked a fair few miles in them the other day (maybe it’s the heel thickness that helps..).
I wear these with almost everything, jeans, dresses and more. The outfit I’ve compiled for this pair of boots is a little different to the one in my “What I wore Wednesday;” it’s a little more casual. I’ve gone for a pair of high waisted blue jeans, with a grey loose-knit turtleneck sweater.
Next up, a pair of faux-leather black Chelsea boots from TU @ Sainsbury’s that I wear basically all year round.
I honestly lived in these while in Vancouver at a conference in November, so I thought I’d show you how I style these comfortable (and even casual) boots in a slightly smarter way. I’ve grabbed a new pair of smart pants that I recently purchased from Boden, and a plain teal-blue, lace detail top. I love to accessorize these types of outfits, so I reached for a cute pair of drop earrings from Accessorize, this London necklace and my Michael Kors watch.
I also love to wear these boots more casually. Recently I’ve been tucking them into my black high-waisted skinny jeans from Express, and teaming them with this printed Breton top that I got for Christmas.
Finally, a return to the tan faux-suede, but this time as part of a party outfit. I’ve compiled an (almost) all-black outfit (what a surprise) perfect for New Year’s Eve. A black, short playsuit with super-sparkly tights (they look scarier than they are) and these boots. Party ready, but comfortable – my favorite combination!
